L-band receiver installed on parabolic antenna RT-32

One of the weekly achievements (week October 22nd – 26th) – electronic engineer Mārcis Bleiders
This week on parabolic antenna RT-32, in Irbene, was installed improved L-band receiver (1.36 – 1.72 GHz). At the moment the tests and calibration process are being carried out. This receiver is developed by VIRAC, and it is intended to be used in VLBI and single-dish mode.
The attached images show the newly installed RT-32 feed in secondary focus and frequency converter block.
